Andrew Hobbs studies how climate risk affects people and looks for ways to make living in a hotter world with more unpredictable weather easier. He previously worked for Climate Policy Initiative, where he studied range of topics including solar leasing in California, concentrating solar power in South Africa, building codes in Germany, China and the U.S., land use policy in Mozambique, and oil refinery emissions in the European Union. He received his Ph.D. in agricultural and resource economics at UC Davis.
