Presentation: Emerging Issues in the Agricultural Sector

Socioeconomic issues are emerging in Tanzania due to the country's growing population, changing demographics, rapid urbanization, and increasing incomes and rising middle class.  Many of these changes are driving by improving technologies, emerging oil and gas sectors, and increasing regional integration allowing greater trade.

This presentation is based on AMA Innovation Lab projects for the Collaborative Research Council Meeting. This meeting provided an opportunity for USAID staff members and mission staff from USAID/Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Mozambique to join their agricultural research and development partners to discuss existing programs and future directions for advancing efforts along the research to development continuum.

This presentation was presented by David Nyange from USAID and took place in Morogoro, Tanzania.
