Presentation: Mozambique Update

Mozambique has major potential becoming a trading hub. The country borders with South Africa, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and over 1,600 miles of coastline.  In addition, Mozambique possesses major rivers and deep water ports. With extensive fertile lands, abundant water resources, favorable climate, and relatively low-cost labor, Mozambique is growing interesting  to international investors.

This presentation is based on AMA Innovation Lab projects for the Collaborative Research Council Meeting. This meeting provided an opportunity for USAID staff members and mission staff from USAID/Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Mozambique to join their agricultural research and development partners to discuss existing programs and future directions for advancing efforts along the research to development continuum.

This presentation was presented by Paula Pimentel from USAID and took place in Morogoro, Tanzania.
