Presentation: Feed the Future Uganda Research and Innovation Laboratories

There are many factors and contributors in creating a successful value chain.  Research must perform yields, create disease, pest and environmentally stress resistant crops. National policy has to harmonize trade, agriculture and health policies, while enforcing standards and regulations.  Strategic partnerships between public and private parties are essential for sector-wide impact in nutrition and agricultural production.

This presentation is based on AMA Innovation Lab projects for the Collaborative Research Council Meeting. This meeting provided an opportunity for USAID staff members and mission staff from USAID/Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Mozambique to join their agricultural research and development partners to discuss existing programs and future directions for advancing efforts along the research to development continuum.

This presentation was presented by Simon Byabagambi from USAID and took place in Morogoro, Tanzania.
