Presentation: Poverty and Cognitive Function

The average Indian adult is 5 foot 3 inches and weighs roughly 115 pounds.  To provide an additional context, these physical characteristics were of the average European adult male from the late 1700's or the average 11 year old from the US today.  A strong possibility of these differences is thought to be attributed by insufficient food impacts.

This presentation is based on the AMA Innovation Lab projects for the Conference on the Economics of Asset Dynamics and Poverty Traps. The goal of this workshop was to bring together empirical researchers with modelers working in the area of economic growth and poverty reduction.

This presentation took place in Washington DC, United States on June 28, 2016 and was done by NBER.
