Presentation: DFID and Social Exclusion

What is "social exclusion?" The process through which individuals or groups are wholly or partially excluded from full participation in the society in which they live. However, there are multiple dimensions and sources of exclusion that include political, economic, social and cultural realms.

This presentation is based on AMA Innovation Lab projects for the Poverty Traps Conference. This conference is a gathering point for USAID and other development assistant agencies to connect the poor to economic growth.

This presentation was presented by Andrew Shepherd from Center Poverty Research Center on February 26, 2009 at Washington, DC.
