Simon Bawakyillenuo is a human geographer and head of the Statistics and Survey Division at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER). His research interests include forms of energy and their interrelationships with health and the environment, energy policy, renewable energy dissemination and utilization discourses, climate change, environmental policy and governance, green economy and political economy. Since 2011, he has been an editorial board member of the The International Journal of Justice and Sustainability and has served on several national steering committees including, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Programme, SWITCH Africa Green (SAG) Project and the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) in Ghana. Bawakyillenuo attained his Ph.D. in human geography and M.Sc. in environmental policy and management at the University of Hull.
