Bio

Grace Bantebya Kyomuhendo is a distinguished social anthropologist and  advocate for gender equality and social transformation. She has a wealth of experience in gender focused research and evaluation of multi-country development projects in Africa and beyond. She has published widely, including the book Women, Work and Domestic Virtue in Uganda, co-authored with Elaine Chase, which won the the 2007 Aidoo-Snyder Scholarly Book Prize. She is head of the Department of Women and Gender Studies at Makerere University and a fellow of the International Women’s Leadership Forum and the Uganda National Academy of Sciences.
