Bio

Emmanuel Abokyi is a senior consultant at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Ghana. He has been involved in the design and implementation of food security projects and their assessments in Sub-Saharan Africa. His primary research focus includes food security, impact evaluation, and evaluation of the wellbeing of smallholder farmers. He has evaluated several projects including the Food Security through Cooperatives in Northern Ghana (FOSTERING) Project, funded by the Government of Canada, the Root and Tuber Improvement and Marketing Programme (RTIMP) in Ghana, funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Government of Ghana. Abokyi's expertise spans the areas of econometric estimation and modelling, capacity development and mentoring, economic and social researches. He holds a M.Phil. degree in agricultural economics from the University of Ghana and B.Sc. in agriculture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.
