On May 3, 2017, the UC Davis Egghead Blog featured Travis Lybbert's participation in the Copenhagen Consensus Haiti Priorise event in Port au Prince that seeks to provide the most cost-effective solutions to the nation's greatest problems. Lybbert has recently completed a randomized controlled trial of the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) in Haiti's Artibonite Valley, which produces about 85 percent of the nation's rice. For the Haiti Priorise event, Lybbert presented his estimate of how scaling up use of SRI would increase rice yields but also assigned an estimated cost/benefit ratio.
