Director Michael Carter Speaks At World Food Prize, Borlaug Dialogue Event

As part of the on-going celebration surrounding the 2016 World Food Prize in Des Moines, Iowa, AMA Innovation Lab director Michael Carter, a UC Davis professor of agricultural and resource economics, spoke at the ILRI-World Bank Group side event at the Borlaug Dialogue. Presentation slides to be posted soon.

This event, "Climate-proofing One-Third of the World: Tools for Resilient Drylands," highlighted the Index-based Livestock Insurance (IBLI) research that Andrew Mude is being recognized for as the recipient of this year's prestigious Norman Borlaug Award for Field Research and Application.  See the ILRI press release here.

This research is over a decade in the making, with its most recent success, the scaling of the program in Kenya as part of government led social safety net program. Please click the links for more information about all of our work in IBLI.
