Director Michael Carter Speaks At World Food Prize, Borlaug Dialogue Event
As part of the on-going celebration surrounding the 2016 World Food Prize in Des Moines, Iowa, AMA Innovation Lab director Michael Carter, a UC Davis professor of agricultural and resource economics, spoke at the ILRI-World Bank Group side event at the Borlaug Dialogue. This event, "Climate-proofing One-Third of the World: Tools for Resilient Drylands," highlighted the Index-based Livestock Insurance (IBLI) research that Andrew Mude is being recognized for as the recipient of this year's prestigious Norman Borlaug Award for Field Research and Application.
