Emily Breza will join the Economics Department as an Assistant Professor in January 2017.  She received her PhD in Economics from MIT and her BA from Yale University. After graduate school, she joined the faculty of Columbia Business School in the Finance and Economics Division.  Her research focuses on development economics, social networks, and household finance. She is particularly interested the social and behavioral aspects of how individuals interact with credit and labor markets.
